Ars Medica - Casa di Cura

Ars Medica is a multi-specialty clinic able to treat every surgical or medical pathology. All of the rooms are single rooms with en-suite bathroom, one spare bed and all the modern amenities.

Pre-admission

Either the patient or the attending physician can schedule the patient’s admission to hospital. They have to:
-      communicate the patient’s personal information;
-      communicate the date and time of the hospitalization;
-      communicate the date and time of a possible surgery;
-      start the insurance procedure;
-      communicate possible information on pre-operative care or  autotransfusion.
In order to reduce the patient’s stay in hospital, routine tests patients have to undergo before surgery (lab analysis, x-rays, ECG, etc.) can be performed on an outpatient basis a few days before hospitalization.
Patients who are admitted to hospital on a private basis, will be asked to put down a deposit.

Admission

The staff at the reception will take patients to their room and give them the Service Charter and the evaluation form. The documents to be handed when admitted to hospital are the ID document and the health insurance card.
Patients should also bring with them past medical records.

Discharge

Patients are to be discharged by 09:00am. Before leaving the hospital the patient will have to go the administration office to close the hospitalization procedure. The patient will be given a file with all the recommendations on the therapy to be followed at home. In order to facilitate their recovery, patients will also be given the medications for the first days after discharge.

Medical Chart

A copy of the medical chart can be requested either during hospitalization or afterwards at the reception. It will be delivered to the patient or to a proxy within 15 days.

Comfort

All of the rooms are single rooms with en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, TV/SAT, telephone, and one spare bed. Patients can choose between three different menus, unless they are requested to follow a specific diet plan.
Patients can access the following services:
- Bar: Room service, every day from 08:00am to 07:00pm
- Private parking next to the hospital
- Newspapers: Patients can ask for the newspaper they prefer
- Safe: all of the rooms are equipped with a safe
- Laundry service
- Hair dresser – Barber
- Mail service
- Wi-Fi
- Religious service
- Ambulance service

Recommendations for patients’ safeguard

Patients are strongly advised to do the following:
-         inform the hospital staff of previous diseases
          or current therapies
-         not to take unprescribed medications or food
-         not to leave the hospital
-         communicate to the hospital staff 
          whether they want to remain anonymous
-         avoid to receive visits after
          08:00pm
-         not to leave personal belonging or
          jewellery outside the safe
-         respect the privacy of other patients
-         respect the hospital facilities

All complaints must be submitted to the hospital management. The staff will answer within 7 days.
